ARECA ARC-6060 SCSI DRIVER
I use both ami 4 and aac 4 extensively. I even run ami 4 on amd64 not available yet to the general public, mail me if you want a diff. There is one nagging ami 4 issue but that'll be fixed soon. I particularly like mpt. I don't think there is as Areca ARC-6060 SCSI of an issue as far as speed goes if you're running RAID It is not an optimal solution, of course. The system doesn't respond as quickly to a drive failure as a hardware solution would. You should definitely test it with your application before putting it into production.

You get a few minutes of disk error messages spewing on the console first. Then, after the OS has decided that this is a permanent failure, the upper levels get notified and the rebuild on the hot spare starts. I've seen hardware RAID solutions notice a disk failure within a few seconds. I Areca ARC-6060 SCSI researched the issue myself.

It's not a big deal to me, as hardware failures aren't that frequent. But it is something to be aware of.
You ought to be testing any kind of RAID system before putting it into production anyway. This is kind of hard on non-hot-pluggable hardware, but you need Areca ARC-6060 SCSI see if you've done things right.
I usually just yank the power cable from a drive to fail it manually. The problem is failures that aren't really failures. So basically means throwing more drives at the mix to keep utils Areca ARC-6060 SCSI. Watching IRQ loading, etc. It will always fail at some point with -D80 set.

Anybody have any idea what could possibly be going on here? One change in the mix from when we were evaluating and testing, the firmware in the RAID controller has a newer version.
Could that be causing this? Any help or thoughts would be appreciated. The driver doesn't seem to do anything with it.

It should also be noted that Areca ARC-6060 SCSI if you had a monster fast storage system Liquid will only ever do up to two streams of full raster HD. No system I have ever see can do more then 2 streams.
ReFs sounds intriguing too. Dumb question - Areca ARC-6060 SCSI plain old RAID-6, why would [sequential] write performance be limited to that of a single drive? I had assumed my throughput was being bottlenecked by the controller's parity calculations.
